Biography

Nada Tarek Elselanty is a master’s student in the Materials Science and Engineering program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Materials and Nanosciences from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2022. Her research interests focus on energy materials and scintillator materials.

Research Interests

Nada's research focuses on indirect X-ray imaging and the development of advanced scintillator materials, with an emphasis on optimizing their performance for high-resolution and efficient radiation detection. Additional interests include energy conversion and storage applications, particularly the design and engineering of functional materials for sustainable energy technologies.

Professional Profile

Joined the Energy Materials Laboratory at The American University in Cairo in June 2022, where research focused on photoelectrochemical and electrocatalysis-related projects, including photoelectrochemical water splitting and zinc–air batteries. This work resulted in one peer-reviewed publication with the group.

Since 2024, enrolled as a master’s student in the Materials Science and Engineering program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), conducting research in Professor Omar’s group on scintillator materials for indirect X-ray imaging.
