Biography

Rawan Alzahrani is a master’s student in material science and engineering and a member of Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy and Four-Dimensional Electron Imaging group. Her research interests include the fundamental study of light-matter interaction and the synthesis of nanomaterials, preparation and characterization of Quantum Dots, fluorescent and phosphorescent materials and X-ray scintillators. She is also interested in investigating the photophysical properties and processes inherent in nanostructures and hybrid crystals to understand their optical behaviors.

Research Interests

Fundamental interactions between light and matter, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, quantum dots, fluorescent and phosphorescent materials, X-ray scintillators, and the investigation of photophysical processes in nanostructures and hybrid crystals to understand and tailor their optical properties for advanced applications.
